Walk the counter

Three stops inside the shop on Illinois Street

This is a physical coin shop, which is getting rare. The cases are stocked, the inventory is on daily display, and you see exactly what you are buying before you buy it.

Inside Kansas Coin Connection: glass display counters and a wall of framed paper money cases

Station 01 · The counter

A real counter, with someone behind it

Glass cases run the length of the shop and Dean works the counter himself. You put a coin or a note down, he looks at it in front of you, and you get an honest read on what it is and what it is worth. Customers mention the shop dog too.

Station 02 · The coin case

Proof sets, silver and certified coins under glass

The tall case holds US Mint silver proof sets, commemorative sets and wartime nickels, next to gold and silver coins, silver dollars, wheat pennies, Indian cents and Buffalo nickels. PCGS and NGC certified coins sit alongside raw ones, so you can compare in person.

Paper money on daily display

A row of wooden cases holds US, foreign and Confederate notes. If you want to sell old paper money, bring it in and the value is worked out with you at the counter. If you collect, the inventory is out where you can see it every day the shop is open.

GradeExperience

40 / 50

Forty years as a coin dealer. Fifty as a coin collector.

That is the experience behind every read at the counter. It is why a coin that looks ordinary to you gets a second look, and why the price you hear is one you can trust.
